Regina Senior Places Third in State in Physics

Congratulations to our WYSE (Worldwide Youth Science and Engineering) team, who competed in the State finals tournament Wednesday at University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. Our team came in sixth place in a field of 23 schools from all over the state who had already won their first two levels of the tournament.
Great job, team!

Special congratulations to senior Grace Zhao, who won an individual medal for placing third in the state in Physics.
Here are the 14 Regina Dominican students who competed:
Kendall Barret, Anne Berg, Abbie Farmer, Maura Heneghan, Gillian King, Liz Loeher, Rachel Lucas, Meghan McCabe, Jennifer Ovist, Leia Spaniak, Xindi Sun, Grace Tamisiea, Grace Zhou and Ying Zhou.
Thank you to our WYSE coaches who worked with the girls every week from mid-September to mid-April:

Heidi Eichler – Biology
Patsy Mueller – Chemistry
Morgan O’Leary – English
Mary Stenson – Mathematics

Thank you, coaches!
