Regina Dominican students publish three major publications throughout the school year. The Star is Regina Dominican’s yearbook. The Crown is the school’s newspaper, published quarterly. Both of these publications are designed and worked on by the students in conjunction with a class. Kaleidoscope is a student publication of short stories, poetry and art that is designed and compiled after school during club meetings.
Regina Dominican High School’s student news magazine is published online every month by a team of dedicated student journalists. Taught as a class, Crown or Journalism II allows students to learn and practice the fundamentals of journalism by publishing the student news magazine. Successful completion of Journalism I is a prerequisite.
Regina Dominican’s literary and arts blog is a place where originality, creativity and imagination within the Regina community are celebrated freely. Here, both students and teachers can submit their poetry, prose, photography and artwork to be featured on our blog.
The Star is Regina Dominican’s yearbook. This elective course is available to junior and senior students. Students oversee the entire process using digital technology for page design and photography.
