Parent Network Calendar of Events
Regina Dominican will have two Open House dates in the fall. Sixth, seventh and eighth-grade girls and their families are invited to take a personalized tour of Regina Dominican’s campus and meet faculty, staff, coaches, students and current parents during an Open House.
Explore first hand how Regina Dominican provides a rigorous college preparatory program in a supportive, Catholic-based educational environment in the Dominican tradition. At Regina Dominican, we encourage compassion for others, instill confidence, cultivate curiosity for what the world has to offer and promote the values of lifelong learning and leadership. Come to an Open House and be inspired by the benefits of a single-gender education.
For more information, please contact Pattie Fuentes, Director of Admissions, at 847-256-7660 ext. 223.
Regina Dominican administers the HSPT (High School Placement Test). All students should arrive by 7:45 a.m. and enter through the Student Entrance. Two #2 pencils and $25 cash or check made payable to Regina Dominican are required for the exam. Calculators are not permitted. Anyone requesting extended time should submit proper documentation to the Office of Admissions prior to the exam.
As we celebrate the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the great example of faith and holiness we find in Mary, the Class of 2020 hosts the annual Ring Day ceremony for the Class of 2018. During the Ring Day liturgy, seniors appear in their caps and gowns for the first time, and their class rings are blessed. Following the liturgy, the Sophomore Class invite the Seniors and their guests to the cafeteria for a reception. Following the ceremony, seniors are free to leave for the day; sophomores return to class.
“Our Parent Network hosts an in-school Christmas luncheon for our faculty and staff. This is a time for Regina’s teachers and staff to come together as a community and celebrate the holidays.”
Regina Dominican President, Ms. Elizabeth Pattara Schuster and the Board of Directors invite you to attend the 28th Annual Black & White Gala. The Regina Caeli Award will be presented on this night to Corinne and Bill McClintic. The Caeli Award recognizes outstanding members of the school community for their sustained support and steadfast dedication to the school mission.
Regina Dominican will host its annual college fair for freshman, sophomore, and junior students. Over 100 colleges and university representatives from across the country will be in attendance to answer questions regarding the admission process. All parents, especially junior parents, are encouraged to attend this event with their daughter.
Wellness Day offers our students the opportunity to learn about wellness through the lens of successful, professional speakers who share their insights in ways that are educational, motivational, growth-enhancing and inspirational.
The Class of 2018 and invited guests share in the celebration of a graduation liturgy followed by the conferring of diplomas. A reception follows the ceremony. Admittance is by ticket only.
