The value statements below are offered as a summary of desires heard from over 1,500 constituents who participated in the case statement process through personal interviews, focus groups and surveys. As Regina Dominican moves forward with a capital campaign, it is important to ensure the following value statements are protected and enhanced. The value statements are:
- We believe that the defining characteristic of our young women is their propensity to lead and the myriad of ways leadership is expressed. All young women selected to attend Regina Dominican possess the seed of leadership. Leadership at Regina Dominican is the cultivation of God-given talents, and an acknowledgement of our responsibility to help others do the same. This is clearly articulated in the Regina Dominican Leadership Model. We will continue the tradition of educating young women for college and life in the Dominican tradition.
- We will be an institution known for excellence in all facets of its work– academics, co-curriculars, personal and spiritual growth of students, and a united and supportive community.
- We will develop and maintain a comprehensive recruitment, enrollment and financial plan that addresses financial stability, prioritizes capital needs, provides for the ongoing maintenance, renovation or replacement of existing facilities, and allows for the advancement of technology.
- We will strive to be a school that is a place of pride for our alumnae, parents and students.
- We will provide a clear sustainability plan that shows the community that Regina Dominican will present well into the future, with a clear course that communicates the distinction of a Regina Dominican education.
- We believe in and will continue to maintain the tradition of the Adrian Dominicans, who established a school that fosters academic excellence, truth, peace and justice while challenging each student to develop leadership for life and respect for all.
