In 2013, Regina Dominican took bold steps to build upon its tradition and launched the Gateway to Leadership Campaign. With the philanthropic investment goal of $4 million, this campaign will provide three initiatives that create an experience for Regina Dominican students that is truly unique.

Capital Initiative #1: The Leadership Institute

The Leadership Institute distinguishes Regina Dominican as a premier educational institution, dedicated to preparing young women for leadership in all walks of life in a global society. The Leadership Institute:

  • Creates a leadership curriculum that provides opportunities for students to develop their leadership abilities through study and serving in leadership roles.
  • Facilitates the Leadership Scholars Program that allows students to utilize their skills in a project-based setting.
  • Establishes corporate partnerships allowing young women to learn, think, and grow by interacting with professional role models.
  • Assists students in developing a leadership portfolio.

The Leadership Institute reflects the essence of Regina Dominican’s mission and strong heritage, while providing a framework for its students to cultivate the qualities needed to succeed in a global, interconnected world. Click here to find out more about the Leadership Institute.

Capital Initiative #2: Cafeteria Re-Envisioned

Since Regina Dominican’s Leadership Institute transforms the way students gather, work and collaborate. We need to provide a space to accommodate this interaction. The new vision for the cafeteria will:

  • Establish a “hub” for the school by repurposing the current cafeteria space into a multi-functional common area for all students, faculty, and staff.
  • Provide a traditional dining space for students during school lunch hours.
  • Provide a social area for students to gather to collaborate on projects, study in groups, or seek information and inspiration from their peers.
  • Create a venue for class presentations, educational events and lectures, as well as Student Life activities.

Capital Initiative #3: Entrance Reconstruction

To spread the message that Regina Dominican is home to the innovative and pioneering Leadership Institute, the Gateway to Leadership Campaign will transform the architectural facade of Regina Dominican. The entrance reconstruction will:

  • Provide a modern, safe, and welcoming entrance, befitting for the home of a cutting-edge school.
  • Augment landscaping, lighting, and entrance sign.
  • Improve traffic flow with parking and main entrance enhancements.
