Lauren DiCiaula ’19 Awarded Girl Scout Highest Award
Lauren DiCiaula ’19 was awarded the Gold Award the highest achievement within the Girl Scouts of the USA, earned by Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts. Only 5.4% of eligible Girl Scouts in the Nation successfully earn the Gold Award.
For her project, Lauren trained and had her dog, Bauer, certified as a therapy dog. Together they visited nursing homes to help residents with loneliness. She also took him into schools (including Regina Dominican during exam week) to help reduce stress. Lauren will be attending Augustana College in the fall as a Music Education major.
