2018 Veritas Award Winners
The Regina Dominican Veritas Award was established to commemorate the 800 Jubilee of the Order of Preachers and was presented at Friday’s St. Catherine of Siena Dominican Week Mass. The faculty and staff nominated a senior student and a colleague who, like St. Dominic and St. Catherine of Siena, exemplifies a commitment to boldly preach the Gospel message and with veracity embrace and encourage a life of service to others.
This year’s Veritas award winners are senior Kaitlin Clancy and Mrs. Sue Endre, Registrar and Assistant to the Principal.
S. Jean Williams, OP, the Director of Mission Integration, shared comments from those
who nominated Kaitlin Clancy and Mrs. Sue Endre such as:
Katie is afire with love of God and others, she has a keen sense of community, respects the dignity and beauty of all persons and the planet, and exemplifies joy, service, leadership, and integrity.
Sue was recognized for exemplifying kindness and professionalism to everyone, communicating words of wisdom and knowledge. She is a happy lady and serves with a smile on your face and a strong belief in the power of working together. She has a long history, 18 years, of serving the Regina Dominican community by pitching in to assist anyone who needs her help.
The Veritas pin, a certificate, and gifts were presented by last year’s Veritas Award recipient, Mrs. Mary Stenson. Kaitlin Clancy and Mrs. Sue Endre’s names are now engraved on the Regina Dominican Veritas Award Perpetual Plaque in the chapel. Congratulations!
