On January 31, 2019, Cristina Casis McKinnon ’87 retired from Federal Service after 27 1/2 years as a Federal Agent. In her career, she investigated numerous criminal, civil and administrative cases related to waste, fraud and abuse inside the US Department of Justice, US Department of Education, US Department of Veterans Affairs and US General Services Administration. After retirement, Cristina became the owner of the Torrance, CA location of a Do-It-Yourself wood sign workshop franchise named AR Workshop (www.arworkshop.com/torrance). As a small business owner, Cristina finds great enjoyment in teaching her local community how to create wood and canvas home decor projects. Cristina lives in Torrance, CA with her husband Milton, Acting Chief of Police for the Hermosa Beach Police Department, and their daughter Melanie, a 6th grader.
