Head Forensics Coach

Positions available for the 2006 volleyball season are as an Assistant Varsity Coach and as a Head Junior Varsity and as a Head Freshman Coach.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Varsity Coach include but are not limited to assisting in all areas of the development and promotion of the varsity program. These areas include: contributing to practice plans and game strategies, participation in summer volleyball camps, aiding with team travel to and from away games and implementation of team building activities.

Responsibilities of the Head Junior Varsity and FreshmanCoach include but are not limited to the development and promotion of the Junior Varsity program by teaching and developing individual and team skills and basic concepts of volleyball. Proper practice planning and game strategy based on team goals, participation in summer volleyball camps, coordinating team travel to and from away games, and implementation of team building activities.

Requirements

Candidate must possess excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to initiate and complete projects with specific deadlines, and knowledge of IHSA rules and regulations. Past playing experience and/or coaching experience at the club or high school or collegiate level is preferred. Candidate must be ASEP certified or have an Illinois state teaching certification. Archdiocese of Chicago Virtus training also required.

Volleyball tryouts begin August 15, 2006 and the season runs through the end of October.

Availability for Regina’s evening summer volleyball camps (July 17-21 st and July 24-28 th) is also a very important part of these coaching positions, as this will allow familiarity with the rest of the coaching staff, the players and the Regina volleyball system.

Head Varsity Swimming Coach -
The Regina 2006 swimming season begins with tryouts in mid-August with swim meets once or twice per week until the IHSA tournament in mid-November. Practice times and frequency are based on off-site pool availability. Swimming is currently a no-cut sport at Regina and previous roster sizes have been in the mid-20s.
This position requires previous coaching experience (high school level preferred). Candidate must be ASEP certified or have an Illinois state teaching certification. Archdiocese of Chicago Virtus training also required.

Tennis Coach-
The Regina 2006 tennis season begins with tryouts in mid-August with tennis matches 2-3 times per week until the IHSA tournament in mid-October. Meets and practices are held after-school at the tennis courts at Locust Park across the street from Regina. Regina fields a JV and Varsity tennis team.
This position requires previous coaching experience (high school level preferred). Candidate must be ASEP certified or have an Illinois state teaching certification. Archdiocese of Chicago Virtus training also required.
